Who we are - and what we do
Bosch in Portugal is a regional branch of the Bosch Group, one of the world's biggest private industrial corporations.  
The Bosch Group operates in several sectors like: automotive technology, automation technology, metal technology, packaging technology, power tools, thermotechnology, household appliances, security systems and high-bandwidth networking.

The Bosch Group is hold by the Robert Bosch Foundation with a share of 92%, and is in charge of the philantropic and social activities just like his founder had estipulated, growing their objectives to match the modern society. The Foundation uses his funds to support inter-cultural, social character and medical research activities.

In the year of 2008, the Group sales worldwide had reached 45.100 million Euros, with 280.000 employees, dedicating 3.90 million Euros to research and development.

 
Bosch in Portugal has generated sales of EUR 765 million in 2008 and currently employs 3.576 associates in 6 companies holded at 100% by the Bosch Group such as Bosch Termotecnologia, S.A., Bosch Car Multimedia Portugal, Robert Bosch Unipessoal, Motometer Portuguesa, Robert Bosch Travões, Robert Bosch Security Systems. There is also BSHP (household appliances) wich is the result of the association between Bosch and Siemens, where both holds equal shares.
